The E48 is for jobs that would wear out a smaller machine: long utility runs, deeper digs, heavy pipe and structures, and loading trucks all day. It has noticeably more reach and lifting power than the E35, so you spend less time repositioning and more time digging. It still has a compact footprint for a machine this capable, so it works on residential and tight commercial sites.
